I had my Audi towed and left over night at shop160 received a call before they even opened from MarkI explained what the issue was he explained his process.. 3hrs called me back and told me the issues.. instead of suggesting extraordinarily expensive repairs.. I'm always skeptical of who works on my vehicles because of an experience I had in the past. But since I have moved to the area shop at 160 is the place to go and been going there for four years. They're upfront about what's going on and have the best prices in the area and do good work. I recently had headlight issue and it was a simple fix to just change the light bulb which I would normally do but thought it was something more. However the front desk knows I have came in several other occasions for work. When I came to pick the vehicle up he told me no charge for fixing the light. I'm not saying they're giving out free light bulbs folks. The point is this shop remembered loyal customers and always treated me with the upmost respect. That's why I will continue to go here for service and recommend others as well.

Mark and the staff at The Shop at 160 are hands down the most professional, honest, and knowledgeable mechanic shop. The are the only mechanic I trust enough to bring my vehicle to. Mark even helped give me guidance when I was looking for a new vehicle. My boyfriend recently made the very costly mistake of taking his BMW to a different shop (specializing in euro cars) that completely did him wrong and he ended up taking it to The Shop at 160 after the first shop made a coolant leak much worse. The Shop at 160 fixed the issue coolant issues exacerbated by the other mechanic shop. You and your vehicle are in safe hands at The Shop at 160. Mark and team will take care of you. I want to add for those reading negative rubbish reviews that has been posted by a few people about this business, I'm not sure what these people expect. I would rather have someone knowledgeable, honest, and caring take care of my vehicle, than someone that lies, tells me what I want to hear, and caters to entitled people, while completely screwing me over (which is what it seems the people negatively reviewing this business must want). Just be smart and take your vehicle to The Shop at 160 for your auto repair and auto maintenance needs.

Mark is the best everytime i have been there he does everything the right way, I had an oil change from those 10 minute oil change a while back and oil started leaking from my pan and I took it to him and he got it rectified and today I took it to him for brake replacement and I thought it just needed the front but he called me and said the rear brakes and rotors were bad and he took care of everything. Don't go anywhere else shop at 160 is going to be my place for all my truck and car repairs and oil changes

My Wrangler sat the local jeep dealership for 4 days with them unable to find and fix my issue. I took it it to see Mark over the shop @ 160. Feb 2020 Update: I had some vibration in my car while driving at highway speeds, so I took my car to Mark. He found the problem, ordered the parts, fixed my car, and charged me a very fair price. I Highly Recommend Mark and the guys at The Shop @ 160. Courteous, polite, and professional. I wouldn't take my care anywhere else. Thanks Mark. I left my car at The Shop @ 160 for the first time for an oil change, and asked them to also check my brakes. Mark called me to inform me of an issue he found on my engine, and sent me a picture. He also let me know that my brake pads were in good condition, and they did not need to be replaced. Mark, thanks for the service. It is nice to find a garage, where you can trust the mechanic. Any other garage would have changed my brakes whether it was needed or not. As for the issue, I will be notifying the previous place I had my car serviced and ask them why they did what they did. Thanks for explaining the cost of the oil change; you are still cheaper than other places. I will be bringing my car back for continued service.

Squealing noise prompted me to do an online search for a reputable shop. After reading every review, I settled on The Shop@160 and Mark did not disappoint. I needed new brakes. Since I had to take his word for what I needed, it was refreshing to hear him say, back rotors do not need to be replaced and that will save you some money. I loved that he offered to give me a ride and pick me up after leaving my car. I preferred to walk, but the thought counted! It was akin to having a doctor with a great bedside manner! I recommend this shop and will utilize their services in the future.

These guys are extremely professional and trustworthy. I took my SUV to them to troubleshoot an engine malfunction issue. They ran the diagnostics and let me know in a timely manner that I should go ahead and take it to the Dealer to ensure the problem was completely fixed. It wasn't that they couldn't fix it, but Mark wasn't sure if they could reset the computer and he didn't want me to deal with a multi visit ordeal. Most shops wouldn't do that so I appreciate their integrity. Trusting your mechanic can't be overstated. By the way, he didn't even charge me for the diagnostics even though I would've paid it. My room mate recommended this spot to me as I just moved back to Charlotte, and I am so happy she did!! Mark was nice, professional, and not pushy. I went for an oil change and he asked if I needed my tires rotated, and, as people and myself often do when it comes to additional services and charges, I said no thanks. I checked my car fax while I was waiting and realized it was just slightly overdue for a tire rotation and he was right on, though he did not push the matter when I declined initially. I am glad he brought it up and saved me time and a trip! He also mentioned getting my air filter changed, and when the guy at advance auto parts pulled the old filter out, sure enough, it was falling apart and filthy. Good looking out on his part and his team. Much appreciated and happy to find a home base for my car.

Too often we want to write a review complaining about things and not enough time do we give credit to reputable businesses. As a single woman with minimal mechanical knowledge, I'm generally at the mercy of mechanics. I thus cannot say enough about the honesty and integrity of the folks at The Shop @ 160. This past week alone was one of many instances where they sealed my loyalty for life. I'd gone to my dealer for a recall and, not surprisingly, they tried to talk me into two additional procedures: 1) replace my key fob battery and 2) replace the terminals on my engine's battery. I took both to The Shop two days later and they told me: 1) I could get a new key fob battery replaced for free at Advance Auto down the road and 2) my engine battery was simply showing normal corrosion which they found after checking and cleaning it for no charge. After many such instances like this, I'll never go to anyone else.

The Shop @ 160 is the best auto shop I have been to, Charlotte or anywhere. I have been bringing our vehicles here for work for the last 3 years, and will continue to do so whenever we have an issue. I came to know about this shop while searching on Google. They are fairly priced and Mark won't try to upsell you unnecessary things or non required services. I bought a used MDX that had tons of issues and I could feel those barely a month after I bought it from a dealer in Houston, TX. Great Experience! I've been really hesitant to take my car anywhere over the years because of the mistrust I've built from previous experiences with other mechanics. Mark and the guys have worked on 2 cars of mine. First, my 65 Chevy Impala and most recently my Yukon. The diagnosis was spot on. The repairs were reasonably priced, timely, and the service was very cordial. They even followed up after I left each time. The other day, engine light came on in my Mercedes. I called the dealership and they told me to bring it in and it'll cost couple hundred to look at it. I dropped shop and spoke with Mike. He said, let's reset the code, drive it for awhile, and see if it comes back on so we don't do any unnecessary fixes since it could be the recent very cold weather. See...that's HONESTY! That's one of the most important qualities you can have in an automotive shop. I highly recommend this shop.

I have been here twice. The first time they went out of their way to accomadate me and the inconvenience having to wait on my car when i had a trip that I needed to take. The lent me a loaner while they waited for my parts. I ended up driving the loaner to my trip destination. When I got back, it still took sme time to get the parts, but the parts finally came and the car was in a out. This second time, same thing, when they have the parts the car is in and out. Waiting on the part can be the hard part, but they usually help you on the end bill. Thanks guys!

Trust the great reviews. I had never been here, but it was nearby and I read the positive reviews. I called ahead, they let me have my car towed there and made the needed repair. The cost was actually lower than the original quote which was great, because this was an unexpected expense. I hope I don't have any more car troubles, but if I do I would definitely trust them with the repairs. Also, there was no (none at all) hard-selling/pressuring of additional "needed" services/maintenance, etc., that I usually get at other places.

Great experience! Like everyone I'm sure, I have had some horriable experiences with car repairs & car repair shops. I had a check engine light come on while driving in the Fort Mill area. I stopped to get a diagnosis from a local auto parts place. I got the code and the recommended parts ect and called a shop that I have previously worked with (I did NOT want to call this place back but I did anyways due to lack of other options). They quoted me a price that over 2xs the amount of what the part actually was. I went to finish errands and to think about how I wanted to go about the repairs. I happended to see the sign for "Shop on 160" and decided to call for a second opinion. Long story short, I got there and went over my issues. They checked my codes for me and went over in great detail what was wrong, how it goes wrong, and more details then they are required to give! They even showed me a diagram on how that particular part works and even showed me what the part looked like. The technition was very well spoken, very respectful, well manored, and seemed knowledgable along with the manager in the office. I was so pleased with the entire experience and the staff. They fixed the problem, I feel like they charged a very fair price, and I will return here for future business!!

I have a 2013 Mini Cooper and I was absolutely blown away with the quality of the shop at 160. They are the most honest people in the business. They have been super accommodating. I will not take my car to any other shop despite the fact that I live an hour away. They are simply the best.

Mark and the technicians at The Shop at 160 are amazing! I am always treated professionally and with integrity. Me being a female have not always felt comfortable dealing with most repair shops and mechanics but at The Shop at 160 I feel like I'm being treated fairly. When I have a question or just don't quite understand the service, Mark has patiently explained it more. I have referred many clients to this shop and will continue to do so. These guys are great! Let me tell you, we initially started by taking our vehicle to Firestone to figure out what was going on with the air conditioner, and after that, we went to the dealership. Well, guess what the reason why nobody wants to go to the dealership is exactly what happened. They ran us in a circle, telling us that nothing was wrong. Mark and the team were able to figure out what was going on, and made me feel like a real human being again.
